An update on adopted super senior Lala

It is not every day that a much loved senior cat of 19 years comes to Catcuddles to be rehomed. When this does happen it is a wrench to the family who have no choice but to surrender their beloved cat for adoption and a call to immediate action to our adoption team. Such was the case of tabby and white girl Lala who arrived with us in March 2022.

It did not take sweet, purry, lapcat Lala long to win us all over with her demeanour and personality. An absolute gem, we knew she’d be an excellent companion to anyone with an open heart big enough to accept her in her twilight years.

Without the life expectancy of an adult cat, or even a younger senior, we knew this would not faze the right home and in May 2022 Lala went to her forever home.

Just 6 weeks away from her 21st birthday, Lala is the same, cuddly, grumpy looking, much loved cat that we know and love.

She might look grumpy but she will follow you round the house/ like to sit in the middle of conversations (if not on someone’s lap). She’s my colleagues’ favourite part of our team call (and my work update usually includes an update on her!) If she does want to hide away she can be found in the bottom of my wardrobe making my clothes covered in cat hair… and since she arrived she’s got way more vocal, she won’t hesitate to meow for food, try to trick someone in to giving her another serving, or just for attention. She is adorable - I’m not sure what I did without her!
