Maple's first week in her forever home

Beautiful tabby girl Maple arrived at Catcuddles as a shy kitty. A gentle, unassuming cat she enjoyed quiet company and fuss. It did not take long for her to grow in confidence and we set out looking for an understanding, settled, adult-only home for Maple to flourish. Maple needed a home who could offer plenty of patience and love to her. As Maple is an sweetheart we knew she’d blossom in her forever home.

Newly adopted, things are going well. Despite it being World Sleep Day, Maple kindly took time out of her busy nap schedule to get to know her forever humans.

Here’s how her first week is going so far.

I hope you’re doing well. As you know, we adopted Maple on Monday! We absolutely adore her and she is settling in very well…

We have noticed a big change in her behaviour since when she first arrived. While she has been a little timid and gets spooked with new noises, she has already started to settle down lots. She is much less scared of the noises and cars outside. She loves sitting on the window ledge in the sunshine or curling up next to us for some strokes and attention. Today, she even peered round the door to have a look at the kitchen, but then (understandably) decided to eat her dinner instead!

Maple has been using her litter tray very well, and today she had a good clean of herself - we even got a little play time with her! She has an absolutely amazing, calm and loving temperament and has already made us even happier. Our hearts are full.

Will keep in touch at the end of this week too. Can’t wait for her to grow even more!
