Special Adoption Appeal for Euston and Fleet

We recently shared an update on their siblings, and it’s now high time that Euston and Fleet find their forever home. Please share to give these bonded brothers the best chance to reach the right home in London or the surrounding areas.

Euston (black) and Fleet (black & white) were around two months old when they arrived at Catcuddles. Having been born outside, their experience with humans was very limited. Our volunteers have spent each day since their arrival socialising them; showing them we just want to offer them fuss and kindness! Fleet is quite the cuddle bug these days whilst Euston remains shy, but as they approach seven months, what they both now need most of all is a loving, forever home together who will teach them to fully trust over time. Euston and Fleet are best suited to an experienced, settled, adult-only home and a patient adopter who is committed to carrying on their hands-on socialisation.

Through lots of one-on-one contact, patience and kindness, our volunteers have shown them that people mean them no harm, and they're finally starting to understand this. Euston can still be a little skittish but is now unfazed receiving strokes whilst he’s eating. He might hide or even hiss occasionally, but that’s ok as they’re both still learning that humans in general can be trusted. It will take more time and daily, hands-on contact to build a relationship with the pair to continue to grow their confidence and general comfort around people - simply leaving them to their own devices and hoping that they come around will not be enough, and their adopters need to be fully aware of this.

They're also a very active, playful pair - they are kittens after all - and love dangly and feather toys and will wrestle with them for hours. They're looking to be homed as a pair to a home with safe outdoor access they can access via a catflap to their own back garden, and could potentially share their new home with another cat friendly cat.

Euston and Fleet are both neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated and are up to date on flea and worming treatment. They do have sensitive tummies so are currently on a diet of gastrointestinal kitten food and take this alongside probiotics, which is working well for them.  These can be easily purchased from online retailers or Vet’s.

Adopting any cat is of course a lifelong commitment but for those ready, Euston and Fleet have already “added so much joy and meaning” to the lives of their fosterers, so the rewards of earning their trust will be truly magnificent to their adopter(s).

The beginning of their life has not been easy for Euston and Fleet but their uncertain future changed the day they arrived. Not everyone is so lucky so please do neuter your cat at the earliest opportunity.

If you want to change Euston and Fleet’s lives by offering them a home, please make an adoption enquiry at https://www.catcuddles.org.uk/adoption-enquiry.
