Volunteer's Birthday Fundraiser for Poorly Abandoned Cat

It’s #kissagingerday and Barney will certainly be getting lots of love and fuss after a tough few months 🧡

Unwanted by his family, he was simply left abandoned to fend for himself in the local area. Over time he became reliant on food from several locals.

When one of his feeders noticed him straining whilst urinating and reported blood in his urine, she immediately recognised the seriousness of this situation and he was brought to The Catcuddles Cat Clinic and is now in our care.

Due to his weight/small bladder we have not yet been able to take a urine sample to confirm his diagnosis, so he has gone to foster so we can collect this and make a plan for his treatment in the coming days. He is of course now strictly on urinary wet food. Our treats for him will be love and cuddles, which have sorely been lacking for far too long.

He’s a very chatty boy who has been enjoying the company of the Clinic team and we’re looking forward getting to know him.

Our wonderful key volunteer Maureen will be celebrating her birthday in a few days’ time and she is keen to raise some money to help cats in need, Barney being the first. If you’d like to donate to help Barney and fellow strays find their way to the life they deserve, then visit Maureen’s fundraiser on Facebook.
